Brodix BB-3Xtra Heads
I've never seen a C-3 Vette sixty foot like your car. How do you do it?
Please give your suspension setup.
We've tried everything from 5000 RPM on the trans brake to 1500 RPM on foot brake. Experimented with different spring rates, adjustable shock settings and different tires. The best 60' we've had is 1.44. Granted the track prep here is not all that great here but I don't see how low 1.30's is possible with the IRS suspension and a 3500# car.
Thanks

Very nice piece for only $549. it's cheaper than the Autometer Ultimate II Playback tachs and is expandable to 12 channels. The software is very easy to setup and use as well. Randy the owner was a great deal of help with questions during the initial install and setup.
My car was stuck in the mid/low 1/4's all season after the head/cam swap. After reviewing the data and making some VERY minor tweaks, the performance really turned around. I never thought the car would go low 1.3's either as my goal was to be mid/high 1.3's on a regular basis. But with solid data to make informed tuning decisions from, it's much amazing what can be done.

I have seen a street type vette which used a type of reciever trailor hitch. It passed tech and was removeable. The other thing that i have seen like on the local solid axle drag Vettes is reenforced tubing from the rear of the cage to a flat plate right where the license plate goes.
I welded up upright tubing from my frame to where the rear wing connects on each side so I would not damage the body at high speed.

Seriously, 10secBu has a very nice car that just flat works. But all the little details are what add up...and it doesn't matter if it's a Vette IRS or not. There are quite a few guys in the 1.30's and even a few in the high 1.20's with IRS....I'm not one of them sad to say!@!

Just re-read and sure enough I missed stating the car was a '79 Malibu at 3450 lbs and stock suspension. Sorry. Well, if anything, I'd think a 3rd gen Vette would have an aero advantage. lol

Here, I thought someone had the IRS suspension figured out.
Guess we will just have to hit the tires harder with a little more power.
10secBu; You've really got that thing flyin. Someday we're going to have to spend some quality time on the wife's 70 SS Chevelle and get it out of the 13's. After all there will be some extra parts left from the old 454.
Thanks for the help.
