I believe there was a thread posted on this subject, can't find it. I need some advice on wheel flairs. My car is already lowered with 800 lb front springs and Penski shocks etc. Currently it runs 275/45/17's on 9 1/2" wheels all around, yes it is an Auto X car. I would like to run 11" wheels in the rear and at least 315 rubber, maybe 335 and 295's up front on 10" wheels. Guldstrand lists L88 flairs. Anyone have experience?
They should be a 4 inch flare i believe you should be able to get 11's under there fine,i have 17x9.5's with a mild 2 1/2 inch flare ,if i remove my rear sway bar i could get 11's in there.

I also have the original style L88 flares, I'm currently running 16x11's with 275's. A particular past BSP champ from Cincy is running 315's on 11's in the front and 335's on 12's rear on his flared '72. Sweet combo, I don't have the coin for 17's yet.
I bought my flares locally, but I believe they were made by ACI out of Ohio. The flares are just the flares, that is they aren't nearly full replacement quarters in the rear as Eckler's sells.

69autoXer, nice car. liverpool, the front spoiler and look of your car is very reminicent of Phil Depippo's #4 BP Goodyear car of Dave Hienz and Bob Johnson. Some real nice C3's. F.Gregg, ACI, Ecklers all have info on what will fit and are very helpful. The flairs are not a difficult install, You could go crazy, widebody wheels are 12" wide front, 17" wide rear.

Is this the Jim Harrison that races Salina and Wichita region? If so, you are amazingly fast!
Same guy. I've been doing this for a while. Unfortunatly the SCCA in it's wisdom has allowed Subie STI and Mitsu Evos in B Street prepared. On an Asphalt surface they kick our butts. So going to try bigger tires. Can't get a latter model car as this is the longest relationship I've ever had
