This was covered about 2 weeks ago in depth and just in a magazine.
Here is the tool & site for parts plus there are other vendors for the boosters.

Get the annular to replace the old ones with, You will be happy you did.

I was looking at those but didn't know if I needed it for the HP series carbs. Seems a little pricey at $249 for a tool to just replace boosters. Does anyone else offer one?

How do you cook a booster?
Holley intentionally makes it difficult for booster changes for insurance/safety reasons. I've heard they only allow a very few shops to change boosters although I am sure there are many "unsanctioned" carb rebuild shops that do this.
I agree change to the annullar booster design.

As an option you may want to just change the carb body, which are available on the aftermarket for $100-$150. May be cheaper and simpler.

I'm guessing a nitrous fire ?

They say the boosters are "spun in", have no idea what that means but I don't think they are easiily replaceable like my Race Demon boosters which are threaded and have a thin nut holding them in place

Yeah I had a nitrous backfire through the carb since my timing retard switch failed. I got lucky that was the only damage.

Any idea where I could get a carb body? Thanks.

Summit, Jegs, eBay. But first try www.blp.com. They sell a multitude of carb parts. That's where I got the annulars to put in my Holley.
