Default summit headers...

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these. I cracked my exhaust manifold yesterday and just looking for a cheap and temporary fix. Any advice would be appreciated...

I'm running them on my 73. I have had them on the car for 4 years now. The flanges are not as thick as the top of the line headers. I had some problems with gaskets blowing, but used a better grade of gasket and it seems to be working fine.

not the number, I think they were the Mr Gasket impregnated ones. They are a darker color. I also used the locking bolts, but I'm not sure if they were needed.

The gaskets suck, but the headers are really pretty good.

This is all good to know, as I was thinking about a set of these when I complete the engine rebuild. I mean, headers that FIT that aren't an arm & a leg? I'd definitely put them up for consideration...

In my opinion, they're an awesome deal for the money. They fit perfectly. You'll have to have a couple of spark plugs out to get them in, though.

I'll bet those are the painted version of the Dynomax ceramic coated headers

Just remember to retighten all your header bolts after a cruise around the block after install, and then a couple days later then you should be good for awhile.

Thanks for all of the replies guys. Since I just got home from a 16 hour day at work(some birthday huh?) my wife is going to order them for me in the morning. Hopefully I will be able to put them on this weekend. Thanks again...
