Tach Drive Distributors
It seems Ecklers and the rest have dropped the reproductiion tach. drive distributors. Besides the nice MSD 8572 unit, anyone know where a repro. or rebuild units can be found? (I have no cores left)....

I believe Mallory still makes a tach drive unit also. Check with Summit or Jeg's. And somebody was marketing a HEI tach drive unit that was pretty reasonable too, but I don't remember who it was. Maybe somebody on eBay?
Hope that helps!

I want to keep the small cap look......so it can fit under stock ignition shielding. I would rather do the MSD before the Mallory. Thanks

That guy will rebuild your point distributor into a HEI so you can keep your tach drive.

Research is done. The owner of the distributor manufacturing company had a car accident, which I hear, landed him in a nursing home.
The business got sold a few times, is now in the hands of a major Vette parts retailer. No product available at this time.

The Mallorys will fit under the shielding (at least for the early C3s...)
