How to remove old interior paint
I bought another vette the other day and the previous owner tried to restore the interior, but very poorly. He said he used the vinyl paint from Ecklers, but I must say the application was not very good. What kinds of products/ techniques can I use without harming the vinyl, as I would like to kkep all original pieces because none of them are cracked or torn. He said he painted because they were slightly faded. Anyway, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

I used Formby's furniture restorer. This worked excellent! Almost as easy as washing your car. It's made to remove old hard cracked varnish without damaging the wood, but it works really well on painted vinyl.

Bubba did the same to me except he changed interior color from saddle to black. I found that a quick swipe some laquer remover on a cloth does a pretty good job of removing the crummy stuff.
