The shift throw is very short, the actual lever was cut down about 4 inches to where it is less than 2 inches long now making the top of the handle the same height as original with the ball

I started doing these a while ago, but had to set it aside for the last 2 months cause of a new baby (aka. vette lover) in the family. thats makes 4 kids now (and feelin old). I did mine as a one piece slip over like the original. Probably get back to it in the next week or so.

Its strange but usually things like these look better in a 1 piece design but in this case the two piece is very sharp looking
