Default distributor weights & springs---Advice?

I'm installing new cap & rotor, Should I mess with this stuff? Which springs?

Sorry, I should have given more info----I have a 77 with headers, duals, & a new edelbrock carb.

As far as over the counter recurve kits go, I've heard it recommended more often than not to go with the lightest springs in the kit. However, I highly recommend e-mailing forum member Lars. He is a genius with this stuff and has developed his own recurve kit. Good luck.

I'm currently using one light and one medium spring in my advance. 2 light had the advance coming in at idle and 2 medium had it not all in at 3000 RPM. You will feel a nice seat of the pants improvement in mid range throttle responce if the previous owner has not done this modification already.
