Default New carpet is OK but...

I just recently relpaced my interior carpet in my 81. I looks ok (my wife can't tell the difference) and ultra clean. I entered my first contest and won a trophy yesterday but noticed that my carpets were not the same as other vetts at the show. The weave or whatever it's called is completely different. Got them from mid-america. Is there exact repros available (door panels with same carpet) out there?

77-82 used cut pile not the 80/20 weave, earlier year I think used the 80/20 weave on there stadard interiors while the cut pile was used with leather

Did the same in my 81 with carpet from ACC through The Last Detail. There has been alot of discussion about ACC quality, I had no major problems with mine, I wonder if the problems had anything to do with the untimely demise of ACC's President and four employees on Feb.14. Recent accounts seem to be happier with the carpet. Go for the cut pile, they give enough spare to relace the carpet on the door panals although I choose not to because I changed the carpet color and I didn't think the black carpet would look right mixed in with the red vinyl door.

click on the link to my site to see the new carpet, third page showes finished job.

Most importantly.... Congrats on the trophy!!!
