80/20 is loop pile carpeting that came in the early C-3s and some later C-3s with standard interior. All the later cars came with Cut-pile carpeting.
In my humble opinion, the 80/20 looks great in the steel bumper cars, it seems to match the interior better. If you have comfort-weave vinyl seats the cut-pile just doesn't look right.
The cut-pile is supposed to be a more plush looking carpet, and seems to go better with leather seat covers.
I think that the cut-pile sold by most carpet resellers, isn't nearly as plush as the original, it has a fuzzy look. I prefer the loop pile look myself.
