Hey starting to consider a tire change. What are you running and how do they handle. 69 4spd.

I have a set of Yokohamas on my '71 Charger and I love them. I'll look up the rubber number in a bit and post that.

My Vette has Goodyears, but they are older and discontinued. I will probably get Goodyears again, but the new kevlar layer tires.

I have been "considering" the same for 2 years now! The problem is that there are VERY limited choices for our stock rim size these days. Most people choose 245 or 255/60R15. Many go with the BFG's that you have now (VERY nice lake, by the way) with Goodyear Wide Ovals and Firestone Firehawk's following up. Some have tried and liked Yokohama AVID S/T - even though it is listed as a "truck" tire. Tire Rack is a good online place to see what's available.

255/60/R15 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. I like them, then seem to handle pretty well in both dry and wet conditions.

Carefull about a blowout...you could flip your Vette and have to sue Firestone...

My Charger has Yokohama Avid V4S tires. I love them.

Are you wanting stock sizes or something different?

For stock 15" rims, I would opt for the Firehawks as well.
Fairly cheap and overall best customer rating.
Plus, they look good.

Me, I have switched to C5 rims (17",18"). Can't comment on handling -
only been up and down the driveway for now.

Did you change the suspension too or just adapt the stud pattern? How did you get them to fit?

Firestone fixed the car tire problem after the 500 recall in the mid-70s. The truck tires...well...that's a different story.

Yeah I was kidding. I loved the tread design on your tires. Very all-weather for sure, and from the look, high shoulders, you will likely have a minimum of road noise once you get the suspension back together.

All stock C3 suspension (except aftermarket rear sway bar).
Stud pattern is the same, but you need 3" adapters to compensate for the different offset.

Okay, I like the look, and the 3" spacers are fairly easy to get for me. Question, will the C6 wheels mount up the same way as the C5s? I almost like them better and have a line on a set.

How well are they expected to handle in wet weather...in case it's driven like that?

I had the Zeros on a 300ZX I used to drive. I loved them but they wore fast for my tastes. May have been an older model too.

Me too, I only ask because the tires i used to have on the Vette were great on dry, but on wet, at a light, when I gassed it I would spin and spin and spin. It kinda sucked. I now have some great Goodyears but will need to upgrade in the next year or so.
