there are, when i stop the car and the engine is nice and hot, some drops of coolant falling from the right side just on the tire side closer to the door...it goes right on the hooker side exhaust right manifold. now, i've checked the upper and lower rad hoses (which are new) and the alu rad (which is pretty new too) and everything is well tight, the rad screw is new and perfect...but those drops are there, just a few, but enough to drive me nuts.
also, i think the cruising temp has rised fm the usually and healthy 160/170 max to just under 200...

what's your opinion? thanks/Giu
Can you post some pics of where you mean? I'm a little confused.
Did you check your heater hoses, shutoff valve and where they connect to firewall? Try tightening them. I had a leak on my overflow canister. Your leak could be there or on the hose that runs from the rad to the canister. My canister was cracked.
As for the sudden temperature change. If it is the canister, then your radiator may be low on fluid. Just a thought. Next thought would be the t-stat sticking. But I would check coolant level first.

hi you2..bottle is at one third when cold, right on the sign that shows 'cold'...and i have no heater, my engine bay is very raw, simple and streight, all ancillaries surpluses (heater/ac/etc) has been taken away, and i see no sign of any malfunction around it...tomorrow i'll post a pic and you'll where is falling the damn drop...thanks
Very possible it is overflow bottle..if plastic, run you hand down underneath it (engine warm) Sometimes they leak at seam....or,weep at cap...Would not think a freeze plug is leaking/spraying from your fresh motor...but worth a check also...

Sounds like it could be the heater shut-off valve.
It is possible that the heater shut-off valve could be leaking when it is in the 'heater off' postion. Try running it in the 'heater on' position and the temp dial turned all the way down. If you no longer see any drops of coolant, that's the problem.

I think he removed the heater core and components.
After re-reading his posts...now I see. No heater. No need for a heater shut-off valve. Thanks for the heads-up!
Also cuts down on the places the fluid CAN leak from. Took out a lot of weak spots. Seems like the only fluids are moved between the engine and radiator. Anywhere further back it's from the block. Confusing without pics, so I'll wait for some of those.
