Default manifold vs. ported vacuum

73, 454, 40 over, medium cam, 9.1 compression pistons, A.I.R. and EGR removed: sounds like vast majority on this forum would agree that the vacuum advance should be hooked to manifold vacuum and not ported vacuum. As best I can tell (we are getting a vacuum guage tomorrow) the only two places on the Rochester carb that provide manifold vacuum is the attachment in back for the power brakes, and the one in front that hooks to the PCV ( this one would be easy to hook into) Am I right or does anyone know of another source on this carb??

Manifold vacuum on your q-jet is supplied from the port on the passenger's side of the carb toward the front.

Manifold vacuum,..good call.
