Needle scaler for removing rust?

Anyone ever used one of these? Think it would be good for rust removal, or too violent? Saw it while browsing NorthernTool, never heard of one before.

Used one in the NAVY, works great for removing paint. Doesn't do much for thin sourface rust. Use a wire wheel or sander.

I have one that I got from Harbor Freight. It fits on the end of the air chisel they sell or you can get the all in one unit. Go to
www.harborfreight.com and search on scaler.

I used one in the Navy too.. Taking rust of deck plates! Too much for a car.. it will leave mini-dents in the metal!
I use a drill attachment wire wheel, and an electric grinder with 80 grit disks for getting rust off the undercarrage.

They are mainly used for removing the slag on welds. Wire brush on a drill works best for me unless you want it to look new then you will need to sand blast which frigging sux.
