Bif, on the early c-3's Gm put fibre optic cords in the wiring harness and ran them from: each headlight, park light, tail light and liscense plate light, to the center console. The light generated from each light would illuminate a lens on the console to let you know that light was working. Supposedly to give the cops less reasons to stop you, good idea huh. :yesnod: Just like other brilliant ideas it was discontinued in 72 (i think). If you dont have a headlamp that is fiber optic compatible, that indicater wont work.
Cajun friend, I bet you would know if these weren't working. :yesnod: :yesnod: That's the only hand up on fiber optics. I just installed some of the high inten. on the truck this weekend and I hope they work better than the stock one's. I have to drive alot in west texas and without advance notice you can wack a deer going 70. Just extra insurance.
By the way, that new baby stop crying yet. I don't miss those days.
LMAO Budman, funny you ask. He really is a good baby. The only time he gets fussy is when he has gas. :yesnod: As if we dont know when that happens, whew!!!!!! He's potent. I think the boudin and beer didn't help matters. (Just kiddin) Oh yea, he don't like baths either :boxing
I wouldn't mind upgrading to brighter headlights but in the add they stated "with a bluish glow just like on the new luxury high end vehicles."
The first time that I saw a new car with those blue "high intensity" headlights I thought that it was sooo cool looking. For some reason I quickly grew tired of that bluish colored glow. I haven't taken a ride in a car that has them but they are definitely a distraction to me when meeting them in oncoming traffic at night. (that's just my humble opinion though!)
If you buy a car with Xenon (that is the new bluish headlamps) then you are OK because they are DOT approved, but if you go get ricer blue bulbs for regular headlamps they are not DOT approved. My friend has a 5 series BMW and he has the new lights. They are really bright.
Be careful
John

It would be much cheaper to just put the blue SaranWrap over you current lights. Will give the blue tint and work just as well as the blue tint bulbs. Also much cheaper.
