Default Fuel pump flow?

Is there a fairly reliable way to check the operation of the stock fuel pumps output on a slightly modified L-82 with the stock fuel lines and Edelbrock performer Q-jet? I have heard that you can time the flow into a pint can while cold cranking? I have rough idling and running conditions with a stumble upon acceleraton, but before I rip the carb apart I want to start here.
Thanks folks,
Mike

I guess you dont want to bolt a known good running Qjet on and see what happens

The fuel pressure is only around 5-6 pounds
I dont know about the flow.

Bob,

That would eliminate one potential problem.
Are you going to Burgeritoville, Tuesday weather permitting?

Do you have an owner's manual? Don't know if they continued this, but in the 68 owner's manual (Not the big service manual, but the little owner's manual) they outline the procedure for disconnecting the fuel line at the carb and cranking the engine and monitoring the gas flow into a can. I think that is a fairly involved and potentially dangerous procedure to put into an owner's manual, that is more likely to be consulted to learn how to operate the windshield wipers, but there it is.
