Stock rockers vs rollers
I was wondering what the spec is on a stock rocker vs a 1.52 roller. Or is the difference only that a roller has a roller tip ?? Is there really a dramatic gain in roller rockers ?? I was told that the gain is allmost un-noticable in non-race allications.

The stock rockers range from about 1.46 to 1.48. They are not very accurate. The roller tips are a true 1.52. Going to a full rooler is not needed until you get spring pressure above 350 pounds of open pressure. Basically roller cam springs. There has been a huge amount of discussion on this before and you will get many opinions. I ran roller tips for years on a good size solid cam to 7000 rpm with no problem. I recently went to a full roller rocker but I also plan on a solid roller cam in the future.
