He has a '70 and is referring to the run from the tank to the pump.
There are 2 pieces of hose - one that attaches the tank to the steel line and one at the other end that attaches the steel line to the fuel pump. The one at the engine end is clearly visible from the passenger side - the steel line ends just beyond the midpoint of the engine - then rubber fuel line connects from there to the fuel pump.
You need to climb under the rear passenger side of the car to inspect the tank to steel line piece.
Having said all that, your problem sounds more like a "tank sock" that's plugged. You should look inside your tank with a strong light and see if there's debris or rust in there first - you will have to clear that up if there are issues there.
If you have the means it's always a good idea to pull the tank down, drain and clean it, have it coated and re-installed. Great for older tanks and gives them new life leases.
I took the sender unit out and inspected it, force air through it...it looked OK. Also put new hose between tank and hard line. Did vaccum out tank, also. Car will set and idle but when I pull out of driveway and cruise through neighborhood, it will cut off after about 3 minutes of driving. It cranks back up.. Then I park it.
Eliminated 90 degree bent in hose to fuel pump by putting in a stainless tube fitting between hoses. Gas flows to pump with no problem. Still the engine will shut off after a few minutes of driving. Engine will idle all day with no problem. Took cleaner off carb and engaged carb linkage and could see gass spraying into front chambers. ?????

That's normal. The shutting off however is not, and could be traced to a lot of things. You say it idles okay?
That was from the accelerator pump. You still may have a float level problem, and ou need to verify you have fuel pressure. Check float level to be spec. Remove fuel line from carb and turn the motor over, fuel should squirt from the line quite a bit.

I think you can rent a free tool from Autozone that will let you check your fuel pressure. You can remove the line from the carb, attach this vac/pressure gauge, and varify you have 5-7 lbs of pressure by cranking the motor with the fuel line disconnected.
