what do you use on tires??
I know I should have posted this on the "Car Car Products" forum but I was just there, and I'm afraid that if I post a question about anything other than Zaino there that I will be banned from ever using that forum again.
So, heres my question, what do yo guys use on your tires? amorur all, silicone, nothing? My driveway is a 1/4 mile long gravel, dirt, mud, crap road so I'm looking for something that will not be so sticky.
Any tricks or home remedies that you guys know of?
I use Wesley's Bleach White to clean the tires, then I like McGuiar's High Endurance Tire Shine. It comes in a kit that includes an applicator.
I like it because it lasts for weeks not days like some of the other products I have used and it won't deteriorate the sidewall like some other areosol products I've tried before.
The stuff's cool! And it smells like grape jelly or something. Check it out!
meguiars........spray on shine.....Stuff works great and lasts for weeks......I used to use bleche white when I was a kid I did not know they still made the stuff :D
I use Blech White as well. It is the only product that actually REMOVES the crud instead of just trying to cover it up. Everyone keeps looking for a magic cure for elbow grease, and there just ain't none. If you want the job to look right, you have to do it right... you have to remove the crud and not just spray something over the top of it. I can always tell when someone uses one of those spray-ons. Tires look like an old barn with 100 years of old paint. I don't live on a dirt road, so I can finish the job by adding Armorall. I think Armorall (as well as other protectorants) also has UV protection.
Some places have Blech White in gallon containers (CarQuest), but it is cheapest at WalMart in 64oz. I bought a 1.5 gallon sprayer at Home Depot and I fill it with BlechWhite and pressurize it. Makes the job easier and faster.
Westley's Bleche White. It is a super cleaner, especially on white letters, and leaves the tires a deep dull black, very dry with no tackiness.
Westey's is good stuff but a word of warning (based on experience) don't use it if you have aluminum wheels. Took me hours to polish the spots off my TTII's.
I use "Looks Wet No Mess" comes as an aerosol product. They have a web address http://www.supershinedetail.com. I think it is 4 cans for $25 + shipping. I use one can appx. 5 times. Doesn't fling off either and gives the tires a satin sheen :seeya
