Hi........looking for a simple diagram of the anti-theft circuit. Even blowing up my car wiring diagram to a 72" x 24" poster didn't help. I have a constant draw on the battery traced to the clk/ctsy/ltr fuse. The anti-theft circuit seems to come from that source. The anti-theft isn't functional at this time, but I think a relay or something might be the culprit. A drawing, or isolated diagram of that circuit alone might help me. Any ideas or thoughts appreciated.
Check the ctsy light timer if it has one, can't remember what year they started. It will be an orange box behind the pass side dash. Also check all the alarm contacts too, if one is stuck it might be causing the problem.

I have a '77 and don't have that orange box. I thought that timer was a silver cylinder on a loose plug, with a designated ground wire on the driver's side?
If it works, leave it alone. If you're like me and can't get a replacement for under $60 (for a part that you could get at NAPA for $6 when I was in high school), then you build a solid-state replacement.

Oh sure, make it seem like I missed the obvious answer. GOSH.
I had a similar problem with that circuit but my problem was intermitent. The wiring harness goes through the firewall up under the left side of the dash. Next to it the hood release cable goes through. Over the years the cable rubbed through the harness and it just happened that the first wire it rubbed through was on the courtesy / alarm circuit. It is a bear to get up under the dash to do repairs but I fixed it by slitting a piece of vaccuum hose and slipping this over the cable to insulate it from the harness. Alarm and courtesy circuit works fine now. I also had to clean up the alarm relay and flasher located it the storage compartment behind the passenger seat.
I'm making sure I check ALL wires while I have the interior out. It's stull not easy to get to the main harness at the firewall, and it's a mess up there still...but it's still easier than if I had dash pads to worry about.
How close does the cable run by the harness? Am trying to trace why all my instrument/dash lighting won't work. All the + wires for the bulbs are grounded.

The headlight switch was disconnected at the time. I disconnected everything under the dash, lighting to the center console, etc. Either there is a light past the emergency brake console, or a short in the harness - didnt see anything apparent - or at the fuse block area(behind it?)

The only lights behind the e-brake console are the reg tag light and spare tire light. I doubt the reg tag light is the culprit but the spare tire light mayb be linked to that courtacy circuit.
