My fan finally arrived. This video is a good overview of the fan itself. All amp readings were done by a local alternator shop and should be accurate. Installation video to follow.

Very impressive air flow and some killer amps drawn by that fan. That one should really take care of any heating issues pretty quickly when it kicks on. I may have to upgrade to one of these fans when the one I have now dies. Good video and I like the info at the end.
That is really impressive! It really sucks the air! My CS144 140 amp alt should handle that monster with 8 guage wire. Now I need to see why my fan does not pull the amps yours does. We need plenty of pics of the install and more Clint too!

I've been following these fan threads, is this the 2 speed model or the variable speed model? Do you intend to use it just on hi? If so will it be on all the time or temp regulated?

I have the same question about this Cobra fan but no one seems to know anything about it.

That is the single speed model. It has 3 wire connections, but only 2 are hooked up. It does have a removable port near the pug--I'm tempted to open it up and see if a slow speed can be re-hooked up.
However, I will be using a pulse width controller similar to SPAL's SPM---> http://www.dccontrol.com/
I will also have a manually switched relay for a fail-safe backup.
