BSeery: Pro Team isn't bad necessarily. They're like every other Corvette Dealer. They have run of the mill cars (generally quite nice ones though) and they have them priced for WAY more than anyone would pay for the same car from a private seller.
The problem, if that's what you could call it, it that they and other 'Vette sellers are out for someone who doesn't know much about Corvettes or the market but just wants a Corvette. It seems rediculous to those of us who understand all the ins and outs, but think back to when you were young, dumb, and full of xxx. How would you know you were being screwed like a goat?
So, not to sound dumb here, but that car sounds pretty sweet. A fully loaded 69 vert, with both tops, the works, and a new interior for $19K? Is that BAD? I saw the link that wants $26K, but for 19 large this doesn't sound like that bad a deal. Hell, isn't there another post talking about paying more to buy restored? Heck new paint and interior trim will run you $6-$7K alone. After all the stuff I've done to my '73 I will have more than that into it after paint. If anyone can point me in the direction of a car like this for less, I'd like to know! :D

That's the starting bid.
The reserve is probably $24K
Here comes the :mad . I did buy mine from Pro-team, but they had already knocked off $5000 off their inflated price before I looked at it (some BB summer sale.) I did beat them up for another $1000 and paid $23K, (which was still too high), but it was the car I wanted. '69 with a BB no AC, matching #'s, from the mid-west. I had 2 mechanics, whom know corvettes, look at the car before I purchased and said the body (usual frame rusting area) was one of the best they had seen. There is no rust on the car and the body was in great shape. I have a few mechanicals to fix(a few bubba un-fixes), but I love the car. I have mixed feeling over Pro-Teams business practices. Then again I got the car I wanted, in decent shape and did not tottaly loose my shirt. I have a 2 year plan to repair the major issues I found (rear wheel bearings need replacing, tranny rebuild due to leaking and 4th gear syncro issue, leaky rear pinion seal.) Fortunatly I found a great mechanic in town whom only repairs muscle cars. Not the cheapest, but he has several cars in the shop that cost 4 times what I paid. My vette will be seeing the doctor in October for some repairs.
