my first post on this forum...
besides beeing a slave for "the man" i also am a musican and generally busy with
keeping the u-haul running - periodically i take the vette apart and put it back together
- there is nothing like driving up at a club for a gig and jumping out of a corvette
with a guitar case in your hand - sometimes i am in the yard just practicing that.

Im A lefty but 2 of my 3 Strats are right handed
Newest is a limited edition, SRV without the SRV pickguard
A 62 olympic white with a 77 neck ... compound radius/dunlop 6105 HUGE frets
A black 57 lefty body with a righty 57 neck. again a compound radius and fhe 6105 frets
And my retirement fund .. A lefty 1957 Les Paul custom in black
Flying V
Ibanez
3 Marshalls ect
Ill get some pics up if you want to see them
Sorry to go off topic guys...couldnt resist when it comes to guitars
- guitars and vettes are made for each other!
i play several fenders (two teles one strat) - favoring a 52ri tele - but also
use two hallow gretsches, two gibson lps (that i never play) and several other
odd and off brands.
my amps are old silverface fender pro reverbs (3 of them), a old
50w jcm800 marshall head with a really ancient marshall speaker cab.
but i also often use a little 18w blues junior. i'm not really fanatic
behind guitars and gear - but over time collected a few goodies
that clearly now are turning into collectibles. some of them where
basket cases that i brought back alive with TLC.
just like a corvette - so guitars and vettes *are* a lot alike.
you guys are GOOD COMPANY.

G'day from Down Under, and you reckon YOU are from the deep south! LOL I'd have to say that I'm a bit closer to Antarctica than you are, but welcome to the Forum. I've learned so much from the Forum, I don't know how I would have kept my sanity sometimes without it.
While there are quite a few Corvettes in Australia, the total number would only be in the low thousands, covering all generations and in a country BIGGER than the 48 contiguous United States of America, so they are pretty thin on the ground here.
But when I log on to the Forum, it's like every Corvette owner is just next door and ready to help.
My 17 year old son has an Ibanez and a small no-name amp and is right in to Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zepplin, the Ramones and much of the stuff I grew up with when I was his age. Kinda makes me want to pick up a guitar myself and try to play it. Probably left it too late, though.
As others have said, there's no stupid questions, we all learn through making mistakes and (hopefully) not making them again.
Enjoy.
