Transmission and Starter
Put car on all four jack stands too replace battery cables on my 79, not an easy chore, had too drop the front drive shaft and pull out the yoke, got everything buttoned up and went too start car and it just clicked and acted liked it tried too turn the motor over. It happened before when it was jacked up in the front and after a couple of hours, it started. The last time I had it at the shop, they shimmed the starter, which I didn't think it needed. I put the car in neutral to rotate the drive shaft, I don't know if it did it before never noticed, I can move the gear selector in any gear with the ignition key out, checked the linkage and everything is hooked up. Help !!!!!!
