Are the heater hose fittings in the intake and water pump on a small block both 1/2" NPT, I can't remember. TIA

Not sure. I know that one hose is 5/8" while the other hose is 3/4". But then, you probably already know that.

I'm pretty sure the 3/4" hose comes off of the waterpump and the 5/8 returns to the intake.

Guys, I know the hose sizes, what I am looking for is the THREAD size of the fittings, as in 1/2 NPT, which is what I believe they are, but I can't remember for sure.

I'm with you.....I know they're bigger than 3/8 and I wouldn't think that they're as big as 3/4......so my money is on 1/2.

Your best bet is to remove the fittings and take them down to your local NAPA store. They will have the ability to identify the thread and gage the size.
