Fuel Lines question
I had a leaking hose coming from the metal line from the tank to the fuel pump on my 73, I replaced the hose but there is another metal line that is smaller that runs along side of the metal fuel line, the smaller line is not connected, what would the smaller line go to ? would it be a fuel recovery line? My fuel pump does not have another line fitting, unless it is the wrong fuel pump. :smash:

yep, the small line (1/4") is the return line to tank. if it is not connected, then either you have a different pump without this feature, or the outlet fitting has been plugged (or you're losing fuel!)

Thanx for the info, I thought that line might be the return fuel line but was uncertain. Yes I am loosing fuel but not because of that, need to replace the fuel pump all together because it is loosing gas from the top of the pump. From what I understand, 73's have a manual pump that is not rebuildable. :(
