ok the square plates replace where the cam plates were..where the adjustment was made previously so 2 square plates per side the bolts and washers go threw the square plates and the other end uses the shock mount to connect that...hope that helps...the plate that attaches to the under side of the rear diff.thats where the square plates go.

The squares go where pats406nitrovette said. You should also have 4 washers, 2 lock washers, 2 nuts, and 4 weird-looking washers which the catalogs call "caps". You should replace the nuts and washers by grade 8 stuff (I hate the cheap hardware that comes in those kits! :mad).
A pic would make it a lot easier, but lemme try to describe a cross-section with words, somehow: looking from the front to the rear you'd see, in this order: the head of the bolt, washer, square, mounting bracket, cap, strut rod, cap, bracket, square, washer, lock washer, and nut. Hope this makes sense...

Good luck,I should be getting mine in the mail tommorrow,I have everything apart , and cleaned up , and ready for the new strut rods. Hope it goes easy, but that is hard to believe!!!!
The Trick is getting the old ones off of the rear shock mount ..... Prepare to shell out another 90 or so for a pair! ... on mine one side I had torch off the other bang out , but basically both sides the brackets where toast.
Good Luck!!
Eric :smash:
Those "caps" are like washers, but they have a raised "lip" around the inner circumference:
That "lip" is inserted in the strut rod bushing sleeve, and the cap takes up the clearance between the bolt and the larger diameter of the bushing sleeve.
To ballpark the alignment, the idea is to get a carpenter level, and try to get the wheels vertical. Attach a couple of spacers to the level--for instance, two wood blocks--so that the spacers touch the wheel, and the tire doesn't interfere. Sorry, but I can't explain it any better than this...
One tip I can add is; once you have the car off the ground you'll have to set it up as if it's still on the ground by putting something under the rear wheels and getting the weight of the car back on the tires! So everything lines up in it's place ! When I did mine thats what I had to do... it made it easier for me anyway. :D
