74 vette cpe door hinges
Thanks to all for advice on hinges. I removed doors by unbolting top hinge from door and unbolting bottom hinge from body. Springs, hinges all in good shape. Bushings either gone or just pieces left. Got repair kit (bushings/pins) from local parts store. Now can someone tell me if there is a correct way to put them in. top side/bottom side? THANKS

The bushings are pressed (tap with a hammer) in to the "inside" half of the hinge with the "shoulders" of the bushings positioned so they'll be between the two halfs (which is good,..tapping them in the other direction would be difficult). The bushings won't fit the holes of the "outer" half of the hinge, but pin will. The pin is tapped "down" (not up) with a small hammer.
