Damn these are comfy. And I am not too fat for them.

It has the same base width as the GTS2 and the same top width as the A4 that speed direct sells.

They will probably fit fine seat wise, but how do the tracks look? Are they as wide as the seat at the front? If so, they will hit the trans tunnel where it widens at the front. If the tracks are narrow or mounted inward you'll be okay.

I saw somewhere that the upper bolster on the side of those seats might hit the pillar behind the window. I would take the right seat out and test fit it to be sure. I also installed studs in the floor so the seats are easier to remove and install. That is if you have a local speed shop that carries them. I bought a comfy set of buckets from a 3rd gen. Mazda RX7 that I am going to have covered and will install sometime this winter or spring. They cost me $100.00.

jacob, there has to be a way around using their thracks. i modified my 82 tracks to retrofit 97 Z-28 seats into my 82. no welding but realistically at least 5 hours. in the same breath, the hours spent fabricating and modifying brackets and driving around town getiing things welded and the 15 trips to home depot kinda makes the price for the bolt in ones seem worth it.

I am not upset about the cost of the tracks. If they work they work if not well then I will send them back.

Well so long as the track issue is solved for now it's back to the seats. I do remember seeing some aftermarket seats where the bolsters would 'squish' with the shoulder of the door panel. They will be a tight fit. Are you dead set on those seats?

Man they are comfy. I want the waist and shoulder bolsters, I would LIKE to start roadracing and stock 73 seats dont exactly provide any support. Might as well have a bench seat.

I went and checked out a demo seat. Man was that seat comfy. I could take a nap and not fall out of the seat.

Gonna get some multi-point harnesses for the car or stock seatbelts?

you better put aside $1500 for a roll cage then.

Its the last thing people think about but should be the first.

It still blows my mind that people get a full cage into the cabin in a Vette. So tiny already...must be cramped with a cage.

I'm not a Gorilla, so its not a problem.

I prefer the tight cockpit of a C3, its like a fighter jet. The newer vettes feel as wide as a surburban.

Me either, but I have broad shoulders, and I either touch the door the whole drive or the person in the pass seat.

I would bolt them down w/out tracks. No one drives my vette but me (a few of my close friends did but they didn't move my seat) and no ever moves the passenger side. Just keep the old stock seat & tracks if you ever sell.
