Default Help removing pass lower A-Arm

I have the upper A-arm removed, which I thought was going to be the hard one. One the lower A-arm, passanger side, I have all three bolts off. The singe bolt and nut located on the rear side of the a-arm has the nut off but the bolt won't budge. I cannot get to it due to engine clearance. Is this suppose to slide off or is it suppose to unscrew? If it unscrews, how to you get to it?
Thanks for the help.

Scott

You do have the spring out, right? Sorry but I have to ask that question.

Spring, sway bar, everything is out. It just won't come off the rear bolt. The front two bolts came out easy. I can wiggle it back and forth about 1/4 inch but it won't slide down the last bolt.

Those three bolts are the only thing holding the arm to the frame, try a pry-bar to separate it from the frame. Normally they just fall off, maybe yours has had some damage and needs additional persuasion.

I guess I will have to give it a little pry bar help tomorrow morning. I've already got frustrated tonight and cracked open some beer and started watching football.

I put a socket wrench up there and turn the bolt..after you turn it, it will loosen up and the a-arm will come down.

After using a prybar this morning, I have yet to loosen the bolt.
I am pretty sure it is rusted on the inside of the a-arm sleeve. I can turn the a-arm about 1/4 of an inch and the bolt moves along with the a-arm. I am using WD-40 to try and get the rust to break up a little. Any suggestions??

I think you are on the right track. The bolt is a snug fit but not screwed in. If there is any way you can get to the head on top to turn it, that could help but I know its a tight fit up there. On mine, after removing the fan and fan shroud, I was able to get to it from above.

Use PB Blaster instead of WD40.

Thanks hammerhead. Looks like a usual issue. I guess I'll keep soaking it and try some heat. I'm going to do everything possible before removing the radiator, fan, etc.

Finally got the a-arm off. I kept soaking it all weekend and a little help with an air hammer got it loose and slowly came out.

Now it's on to the driver side.

Thanks for all the advice and help.
