Default Red Line Tire Questions ???

Hi all, brand new member here.......question ? i want to purchase redline tires to add the last part of the original look, was told do not use non radials, my car is an all orig, 1968 427/400 saw some from coker " classics" any imput ? also saw some from diamond back in larger sizes where they add / vulconize the stripe on almost any tire as compared to Coker where the line is cut in......any advice as to style ? size ? manufacturer ? i currently have good year 245/60/15 eagle gt + 4's from 1980 i think they were original tires for an 1980 back then or replacements ? anyone know ? would prefer the wide look.......
thanks SIXXXPACK

The gt + 4s are a more modern replacement. The 1980 tires were just "Eagle GT" and they don't make them any more, looked more like this - these are not original vette Eagle GT, but you get the general idea:

If you want that "original look" I would go with the Coker repros. I believe they make radial redlines. I wouldn't get bias ply tires if you plan to drive the car much.

Definitely go with a radial tire. I have heard alot of good things about the Diamondback tires and alot of negative comments on the Cokers. Do a search on the NCRS technical discussion forum. It has been discussed a few times over there. The red lines will look great with your color.

I put diamondback red lines on two cars, a 67 GTO & a 66 vette coupe. very nice tire its a Firestone Radial 500 tire & they put the red wall on the inside and cover the white letters on the front w/a black paint. I heard bad things about coker tires like the side wall comes apart after a while. So far the red lines are looking great.
