74 vette window adjustment
Okay everyone I need your help again. My 74 vette has window problems, when I bought the car a couple of months ago the drivers side window rolled up and down with no problems but the passenger side was very sluggish, yesterday I rolled the window up and it tilted and would not go up or down without me tilting the glass and then hitting the button. I pulled the door panel and tried to adjust the two bolts in the slots that are supposed to adjust the tilt but that does not seem to help. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like one of the runner followers have broken, you will have tracks on the door frame that guide the window up and down and on the glass there will be little runner wheels and sometimes they break or the head pops off, look for a little wheel thing in the bottom of the door.

Mr303 thanks for your reply. I just came in from the garage and I found the problem. where the studs come in through the window glass into the guide one of the nuts came off and the stud had pulled out of the guide so the window was only in the guide at one end. I was able to loosen the other nut on the opposite end and get the stud back into the guide, I put on a new nut and washer and everything seems okay now, thanks for your help.
