got some good deals for my rebuild and decided to finally build my 4-bolt block and put down some serious power. turns out the block i had checked a couple years back somehow managed to crack sitting in my storage unit. either that, or the last shop did a half-azzed job checking it.
at least i didn't place my jegs order yet.
now i'm looking for a late model roller block to replace it. why not, right? i may never get this car running again. <grrr>

Sdpc2000.com New blocks don't come with machinist headaches unless
you must have a blueprinted race motor.

Find you a dealership that'll sell cores. Scoggin Dickey gets $100 apiece (if you know the right guy), out of 2 you should get at least one good sellable or usable pair of heads along with one good block, crank and all the roller stuff. Sure a lot cheaper than new, and I agree, go with late model so the hydraulic roller setup is a lot cheaper. Good luck!
