Default Early 69 Interior Trim Detail

My 69 coupe has a build date of Oct 3, 1968. The rear window lower trim, rear roof panels and 1/4 trim have a poor fit. The assembly manual shows a change of trim securment locations after my build date which is consistant with the poor fit mine has. I have restored the car and I have decided to keep the bad fit, but I have a question.

I have screw holes where they shouldn't be in the 1/4 trim. One high and forward just below the roof panels, and two just below the bottom of the window level on both left and right 1/4 trim panels. I am trying to determine if these are early assembly line fixes or were they done by a previous owner or dealer as a rattle fix.

Does anyone else with an early 69 build date have these additional screws in their 1/4 trim?

Default Guess a photo might help.

Haven't got this photo uploading down yet but here's a try. Photo of the screw holes, one high and two low. I'm referring to the empty holes not the visible screws because of early assembly line problems.

I have the top forward screw on both sides but no lower screws.
I also have a simular poor fitting gap at the top, right better than left.
E 17 trim tag. December if I remember right.
Still not sure if my car is early or late seams to have a mixture of both.
Hope this helps.

So far I have responses from a Nov and a Dec build date with the top screw only.

I think there was early, then late, later and latest versions of the '69.

My left side fits better than the right. Assembly manual show a change in the "plastic Velcro" mounting location on Oct 2, 1968, moving it up slightly. I assumed that was why I had such a large gap in mine

Just got finished masking off the grilles and painting the front half silver (as in left over 68 parts). What a pain and I'm not sure I even like them silver with my paint scheme.

I'd like to hear from someone with a Sept or early Oct build date.

I also have a C03 build date. Unfortunatly mines a convertable. Kind of interesting same build date opposite ends of the country. My production number is 703514, close? I will give you a bump anyways.
