Looking to see what the power loss is going from an engine dyno to a chassis dyno. I thought I read that a vette with the independent rear has more of a loss close to 18%. Additional info…I have a 4spd in the car this should be better than an automatic. Does anyone know what the actual # is?
18% is what I thought. I am on my way to the Dyno (chassis) on Friday so I wanted to have an estimate of what the eng was making. I hope I have something to brag about Friday afternoon. The main reason for doing the Dyno tune is to make sure that everything is correct and working to its best.

You loose about 12% - 15% with a manual transmission and 20 - 25% with automatic. High Stall converters will cost you even more than that. Add another 5 - 12 % accessory loss IF the engine dyno run was done without mufflers and accessories. If the engine dyno run was done with all the accessories, the drivetrain loss should only be like stated in the top of this post.
