major electrical prolem on my 79
I have a problem I just can not seem to track down. While redoing the interior of the car after getting it back from paint I started have major electical isues all at the same time. 1. all guages stoped working. 2. timing switch for interior light quit working. 3. warning lights on dash quit working. 4. electric door locks quit working. 5. power windows quit working. I have checked all the fuses and the grounds that I could find. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Oh by the way the only thing that still works on the dash is the clock go figure.

Just had a similar problem. Ended up being a crushed wire under the power seat track. Dead short. It was throwing the breakers and shutting systems down. Just tossing it out there. Seemed horrible at first, I spent 2 hours under the dash checking fuses, replacing breakers, blah blah blah. Don't be discouraged and start checking grounds under the console.
