Assuming you are using Windows XP...
Try and disable ZoneAlarm and your AntiVirus just to test and see if it is a setting within their software. Next check Control Panel - Internet Options - Security - and then click Internet and then drop the security levels within there all the way down low and apply and see if it now works (you will need to close and reopen browser). This is just to test and see where the block is happening, I would not suggest leaving it at the lowest settings. You can then go into it and check and see what is blocking it. This would just help you isolate where the problem exists.

If you just use ZoneAlarm firewall, I can tell you where to check for the settings. If you use their whole suite of software, then I can't help too much tonight as I do not run that here at home. I have a few computers at work that I run it on and could check tomorrow for where the settings would be.
I use the suite. I tried making the forum a trusted zone, but that did not work
