My rear wheel bearings are squaking away. Since I have a set of 75 trailing arms from my other car I figure to just have those rebuilt and minimize my down time. Any reason they won't work.
By the way I think I can just press this out at this point but I seem to recall hearing DON"T. Any thoughts?
If you try to press the spindle out of the housing on a standard press….You WILL break the caliper mounting bracket. The caliper mounting bracket behind the support is cast and will not hold up to the pressure needed to press the spindle out of the car. If you use a knocker tool, you might get it apart.. But knocker tools only work about 1/3rd of the time.
The arms will work just fine as long as the 65 was a disc brake car. Everything on the trailing arm is the same.
