Power steering pump
Need a recommendation on where to buy a pump for my 72 big block, called my local Chevy. dealer and they said don't have any and can't get one. I just want a trouble free pump. Your suggestions!

A vette vendor will probably get you the right one. I believe Jim Shea has told us there is no interchange, so you need a corvette steering pump, so if I went to a general autoparts vendor I would be concerned about getting the right one. This might be the current AC Delco part#, but I am not 100% sure so need confirmation from someone else... try GM PART # 88985122

The difference in the pumps besides config on the back for different applications is line pressure. Put the pressure spring in the new pump for the correct PSI. Its lower on vettes than other cars, 900 I think and 1300 for other stuff, got that from Jim if got it right

Spend the bucks and get a KRC racing pump with remote resevoire. Used braided lines with AN fittings and be done with it. www.krcracing.com. is the webb site I think.
