I went out of town for over a month and parked my vette (of course) during this period. I came home, tried to start her up, and the battery has died. Before I jump her, should I do anything - tune up wise - since I let her sit sooo long?
Thanks!
CaddyGuy
Oh yeah, the brake light had just popped on right before I left...any suggestions? I just replaced the master cylinder, btw

I let my car sit in my heated garage all last winter, no winterizing before her hibernation, come spring I too had a dead battery, I rolled it down the hill, popped the clutch, ran fine, nothing had gummed up or siezed up on me. Should be fine if it only sat a month or two.
Make sure it isn't your parking brake sticking. Check fluid levels in your master cylinder.

- Check to see if parking brake handle is all the way down.
- If you just replaced the M/C, the pressure differential switch could be somewhat out of wack. Usually it resets itself after a few stops.
- Last option, there could actually be a leak somewhere in the brake system. Check for leaks...
brake light will also come on when there is air in the brake lines. unequal pressure on the proportioning valve cause the light to come on. this happened to me. i would suspect this as the culprit since you've just worked on the brake system. bleed the brakes thoroughly and see if that doesn't resove the problem.
