Well I remember someone once saying welcome to the money pit...LOL. It is true. Now that I have turned my attention off of my `79 Firebird for a bit, the Corvette can get some money. I have already done a ton and it's a fun around town driver...but I drove it to work last night and .....well...here are the issues:
* Front headlamp diaphram has a vaccum leak. My headlights were flopping around last night driving home. It also has some play and I saw movement at the side bushings.
* The driver's window only goes up so far. I am guessing that the regulator has some missing teeth near the end of it...and the motor just spins doing nothing.
* Rear end has issues when it's been driven a while. It feels like someone is under the car hammering it. I have changed the fluid and put in two tubes of additive. I guess I'm gonna drive it until either the clutch packs get right, or something comes apart.
* A$$ end has more dip on the R side when hitting bumps. It's more pronounced on the highway...almost dangerous. I have replaced the shocks but am assuming that the rotten bushings on the leaf spring bolts could be the problem.
* Front end feels like crap and ties rods...etc....are gonna half to be replaced.
I can feel that money pit beginning to fill up. Ecklers will be glad.
