i was wondering if this carb is big enough for my 383 stroker w/ trickflow heads and a 231/231 duration cam.........if it is, where should i start with jet sizes?
i have 1.6 roller rockers...i also have a 750 holley dp laying around...i am expecting around 400 hp. would i be better off going w/ the 750? i know that the jet sizes are about the same sizes on both of them. any advice would be appreciated.
750 minimum. No vacuum secondaries, use the dp. Holley's website has a section that lists all their carbs with the baseline settings. Set the carb to that and tune/adjust from there.
A better choice would be a 750, the 650 will most likely, depending on manifold choice be your limiting factor.
Cam is also pretty mild for a 383.
What are you expecting for HP 390 (300 RWHP) ?
I've got a speed demon 750 w/ elctric choke and vac secondaries I am looking to sell. Like new condition and you should be able to bolt it up an run it since my motor was very similar. All original packaging including video and manual.
