Default Which Shocks

Greetings,

I'm getting ready to endeavor into a suspension project...lowering the front (cutting one coil off stock springs). I'm going to change the shocks, and install a VB&P suspension kit. I'm looking for a firm but not hard ride. I was planning to go with Bilstein HD's over the sports, but was also considering a maybe a KYB adjustable.

Any opinions on which is the better shock for a firm but comfortable street app?

thanks in advance.

From what I've read here,KYB's seem to be the choice with composite rear springs...I'm running Bilstein Sports with a new Guldstrand steel seven leaf...stiff..but I prefer the firmer ride...
I used to run a TRW/KYB's but spring was #330 and not stiff enough for the 69 502..

I'm running Bilstein Sports with a custom VB&P 345lb composite rear, and 500lb fronts (cut VB&P 460's in a 406ci SB 71 Coupe). They work great (no bouncing problem in the rear etc)...
