I would have stopped in the middle of the street, opened the hood and ripped the horn out, bracket and all with my bare hands
Thank goodness the 73' only has one horn

Thanks for the help. For now I have disconnected the horns and put the problem on the things to do list. Normally I would stay at it till solved, but I have a date certain item on my list I have to prepare for. A friend of mine has an aircaft interior shop in Cincinatti and will professionally put the foam and covers on my seats for me when I am there for business about the middle of October. But he made me promise to have rebuilt the frames I bring him. So for now I have to do that. Gad I hate welding!
