I am (or was) preparing to put an MSD dist and 6A ignition on my '72.
As I was reading the specs on the 6A ignition, it says it fits on any 12V car with Negative Ground, and mine has a Positive Ground ? Any wisdom on this subject?

no way you have a positive ground unless every single electrial item in the car was rewired for that
nah, I doubt even the worst bubba in the world would have done that......
hook it up as it says as your Corvette is a negative ground.
on the other hand didn't some of the late 50's, early 60's British cars have a positive ground system? anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?
