fast idle problem
Hey guys, recently my 72 with 350nom topped with q jet started to idle a little fast, around 1000 rpm. today i took the air cleaner off and noticed the spring that pulls the throttle cable back in place is seperated at one end more than the other. what i mean to say is the space between the rings on the spring further apart at one end. when i pulled back on the part where the cable hooks to the carb the idle sat down to about 700 rpm. also the part of the carb that the cable hooks to has some surface rust on it. In your opinion do i need to replace the spring? Can i spray some type of lube on the rust? thanks...Don
