(75 Shark) I have a 350 crate motor - not the original. Here's my problem. I have an electronic fuel pump - that doesn't activate until the oil pressure is up to speed. So the engine has the crank and crank - before she gets any gas. Really hard on my starter, which I replaced yesterday, and my battery, which I replaced last week. I want to a install a toggle or switch inside where I can activate the pump BEFORE I crank the motor. Once she starts, I can turn the toggle off and let the pump run as normal. (Don't want to burn up if I get in an accident) I don't know anything about cars - but can fix an install if I know the problem. I was a machinest for 15 yrs so I'm pretty handy with a wrench - just need some direction. I don't know what to buy - or where.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

If your pressure switch is on the ground side of the relay (so it shuts and provides the ground) then you can wire one side of the toggle between the relay and the pressure switch and the other side to ground.
If your pressure switch is on the power side of the relay (so it shuts and provides 12V to the relay, then you can wire one side of the toggle between the relay and pressure switch and the other side to 12V.
You should use a momentary toggle that will only shut as long as you are holding it. Just flip the toggle and hold it until the car starts then release. Your pressure switch will keep the fuel pump running and it will still shut the car off on low oil pressure.
