I've got a big glass jug that I throw my change into. It builds up slowly over months, till one day you notice it's nearly full and you'e afraid to try to pick it up by the handle. I'm guessing about 25-27 lbs. Twice it has come to just a bit over $300. Makes for a nice little extra to take on a vacation.
Last year we took 5 jars of coins to the bank. Coins were mixed, although one jar, which was not full, was mostly quarters. The total was right around $500.
What does weight of loose change have to do with an "L82 option"? Seems kinda moot since the only engine available for '81 was the L81.
Correct ^^^^^^^^^^!
No L-82 option in 1981, just the L-81 190 Net HP engine option, which was a base L48 engine/GM passenger car motor in reality with a computer aided carb. 1980 L-48 was rated @ 190 NET HP
The last year for the L-82 was 1980 rated at 230 NET HP, with only approximately 5000 1980's being equipped with this engine and ONLY with an automatic, no 4 speed option in 1980 with the L-82.
