81 frame mount dimensions
My AIM for the 81 frame does not show center to center dimensions of the #1,#2,#3 & #4 body mounts. I am in the process of building a frame jig to splice the original rear section with a new front section. Splice will be between the #2 body mount and the trans. X-member mount. I have the trans mount installed to the orginal frame section. I made a frame tie from #2 (left and right) mount based on an earlier C3 diagram. The dimension in the diagram calls out from the center of drivers side #2 to center of frame at 26 & 3/16". If I double that to the pass. side I should have center to center dimensions of 52 & 3/8". It is more than this. Am I missing something? Any advise or diagrams would be greatly appreciated.
