I’m performing the last steps of body glaze on my 75 before paint. I decided that I didn’t like the look of the antenna, so I glassed the hole closed. Has anyone else done this, and what did you use for a hidden antenna?

Your reception will be kinda crappy even with an antenna under the body panel. You may have to lsten to CDs a lot.

54 Vettes have it built into the trunk lid-it looks like wire mesh under the glass
They also sell one that sticks on the inside of the windshield-just a thin wire that goes around the edge
Hauq' - Your avatar reminds me of when my buddy and I re-did an '87 Toyota Pickup. It had no bed, doors, hoos, front fenders, and two new seats loosely bolted in. We went for a spin around town. Everything was legal...as in all lights worked, horn, seatbelts...
We got lots of funny looks, and we were kind of hoping to run into the law just so he'd give us a hard time. We only saw one officer and he didn't see us. Go figure huh?

My dad's 88 pickup has one of those. It sucks. He's probably giving it to me next year when he gets a new one, one of the first things I'll do is put a real antenna on it.
Did the same, I like the clean look, no exterior antenna, no ext. mirrors.
Mounted a regular new antenna pointing left to right along the top of the rear interior back wall - made a bracket that screwed/riveted into the top of the back wall (above the rear window tray hinges, I have a 72 with removal rear window) Make sure you ground it to get best reception. I get pretty good reception. Definely very glad I mounted inside.
However, my BB with 3" pipes going through Flowmaster Super40s is the best music to ears!
